Perforated vinyl is a window decal that has micropunctures, allowing for visibility through the printed image. The perforated vinyl that we carry has a 60:40 ratio (meaning that only 40% of area of the banner is printed material; the other 60% being punctures). Perforated vinyl decals are perfect for those who want to advertise on the go or want to take advantage of advertising space on their storefront that would otherwise go unused. Brand your company car or add another dimension to your window display. Rear window stickers are a great way to transform the look of your car without sacrificing visibility. Our see through window graphics are printed onto perforated vinyl using wide format UV Printers to ensure a bright and vivid print quality.
Concerning window graphics
We carry two kinds of perforated window vinyl: outside and inside. Outside window vinyl has a printed face and sticky back. This is the popular option for larger vehicles and busses, as passengers cannot peel the sticker away from the inside. Outside perforated vinyl is coated to repel the dirt and debris that comes with an outdoor installation. Inside perforated vinyl is printed on the sticky face of the decal so that it may be applied on the inside of windows. This is the popular option for storefronts because it protects to image from vandalism. As indoor perforated vinyls are printed on top of the adhesive, it is sometimes not as aggressively sticky as outdoor perforated vinyl, and serves best as a temporary display unless glued down.
For temporary reusable window displays, check out our Mesh Banners.
Installing Perforated Window Vinyl
As a full service sign shop, we are happy to do any installations you may require, and if you have a design that covers your entire storefront we definitely suggest you give us a call for the best quality of application. But smaller window vinyls– such as a sale sign or logo– you may want to do on your own.
Make sure your window is clean and dry. Position your decal exactly as you’d like it on your window and mark the corners with a non-permanent marker. Peel off the backing and gently place the adhesive to the window. Carefully smooth your image out from the center of the decal to the outer edges with either your fingers or a squeegee.
If I was to apply perforated vinyl to my office, what is the visibility I would receive from the inside of the office looking out?
Perforated vinyl is refereed to as 60/40. This means that 60 percent of the image is printed, 40 percent of the graphic is see through. These graphics look great from the exterior of the building and does not impact your vision from inside of the building.
